is there a decent how to guide ?

i have test panels ready.

i have done a little research ,use 2000 grit, soak in meg`s soap etc. etc.

my question is , does wetsanding remove the clearcoat ?

what effect does wetsanding have to the clearcoat ?

thanks for your suggestions as I continue to research the numerous threads

Wetsanding IS removing a portion of the top coat, whether it is clear or paint. It`s a REALLY aggressive way to get rid of flaws that polish or waxes can`t hide or remove, but it can be really efficient if done properly. It is important to do as little as possible, check it, and see if you need to do it more.

Usually, after wetsanding the area will look dull or hazy. You`ll then have to go over it with polish and wax to restore the shine you`re looking for.

The Meguiars detailing video tape has a good section on wet sanding.
