well today sucked, the other half calls and our mitsu was broken into in a dallas parking ramp. they decided to break out the driver side rear window, thank goodness there was NO body damage other than the window iteself, there was absolutely nothing in the car to steal of value, they took an empty cd case( the cd was in the player) drank a half a bottle of mt dew, tore up the owners manual, took a pack of cigs, but left the $20 in quarters in the ashtray, they also got in the trunk and unfolded about 18 mf`s and some old towels?? for what i dunno, so tomorrow am the glass guy is comming, tomorrow afternoon off to the tint shop total for repairs around $170 including the tint, sorry for the long post just needs to whine a little :ticked

its all good, in spite of it all its just a car window, but its raining dallas today and tonight and i hope the plastic over the window doesnt leak, or for that matter that it gets broken in again in the parking lot, if u can call slitting some plastic a break in LOL lets hope the glass man can do a good job fixing this without tearing up the door panel

well today the glass man came at 11:30, and to say i was worried was an understatement, he barely spoke two words of english, was driving a old tacoma pick up that was filthy and dented front to back on both sides. he brought out his tools in old ice cream buckets and i was thinking "this aint good"anyway, the man seemed to know how to take the door apart easily and got the window in without causing any damage other than many dirty finger prints all over the cloth door panels :eek so he vacuumed out the door got it all put back together and was off, so then i hit the door panel with the woolite mix and the shop vac and voila clean as new i was happy, so i think wow cool then called the tint shop they said come on over and the window was retinted, all i had to do was reinstall the vetavisor so i got some new mounting tape, adhesive remover and went to work, 30 hours later its back to the way it was and nobody would be the wiser, a happy ending exept for the 180 dollar expense of it all but i am happy again :)

Sorry about your window. A few months ago a neighbor`s phonecall woke me. She told me my front passenger window was broken out. Not a good way to start your day. It was fixed but still needs to be tinted. Maybe this Monday or Tuesday.

Sorry to hear about that. Theft/vandalism really ticks me off, especially when it`s something small like that that the cops wont bother to / don`t have the time to investigate, and realistically wouldn`t get anywhere anyway.

A buddy of mine got it a little worse in Milwaukee a few years ago. Idiots picked up a chunk of concrete from the curb he parked next to and proceeded to try to smash his rear door`s window. Except that they missed. TWICE. Two big dents/crunch marks from the concrete on the top rail of the door above the window. Morons.

yeah we were lucky, all i have found for damage was a small scratch on the inter hard plastic trim of the door, and i dont know if it was the vandal or the glass man but just glad it wasnt worse
