Anyone know what this is? Wax, zaino, etc doesn`t cover it up. Anyone know of any fixes? Thanks.

What part of the car is that? Are you the original owner? It looks like an area where something was fixed...either bodywork and repaint, or an area that was spot compounded.

I`m the original owner. The picture is of the roof. The vehicle had the rear fender replaced but that`s it for body work. Thanks though. I posted another picture.

It`s hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like a spot where the clearcoat is gone.

That looks like it might be something that was done by the dealer to fix something that happened in transit...a spot where they thinned out the clear, and it`s now showing up.

The only fix for a clear coat failure that you cannot `level` the surface with an abrasive polish is replacement (re-paint)

Do you have or can you get acess to a paint thickness meter, that would tell you how much (or little) clear coat you have in that area. Then you can decide wither to polish it out or re-paint
