Autopia made my top-ten list in Car Hacks & Mods for Dummies (page 321). This board ihas been a terrific resource, and I hope that others get as much value out of it as I have over the years.

The book is being distributed globally, so it should drive some new members to the site.

Showing the path to enlightenment isn`t enough? LOL

Just think... that`s one less "car enthusiast" washing his/her car with a brillo pad or Nylon broom. :scared

No pic, unless you count my MR2 on the cover (pretty shiny, right? I`m personally a Zaino fanatic although I use Meguiars NXT on my BMW).

In any event, here is the quote:

"Autopia is a comprehensive resource for automotive detailing information online. If you`re a pro-level detailer looking for tips on ordering in bulk and billing your services, or if you`ve never washed a car before in your life and want to find out whether it`s OK to use steel wool to remove bird droppings from your hood (drop the steel wool -- now ), Autopia has the information you crave.

The best part about Autopia is that it presents a large cross-section of voices. There are folks who are looking for the quickest and most efficient regimen for keeping their cars basically clean and presentable, and there are the guys and gals who are up at 3 a.m. applying their 120th coat of Zaino, scrubbing the wheel wells, and obsessing over whether the license plate bolts are oriented the same way (you know you are!).

When doing research on Autopia, it`s easy to get caught up in a seemingly endless debate over the merits of product X versus product Y (each has its advocates and detractors), but as a rule:

Your finish only looks as good as your prep work allows.

Technique counts for at least as much as the products being used."

For more info... buy the book! LOL
