Anyone have ideas on restoring the chrome plating on many of the interior plastic trim parts....chrome paint in a spray can is a joke. Many dash surround plastic inserts as well as switch rockers loose the chrome when aged and/or the least bit of trauma happens.

Think something like this would work for the larger areas, and maybe some chrome model paint for the really fine lines?

Looks like some BMW folks used similar stuff on their grilles. http://bimmer.roadfly.org/z3/messages/archive/msgsy1999w22/83815.html
