This is my Lotus Elise S1 after I had finished detailing it with Autoglym products. The finish is OK, but did not last very long

She has never had clay on her before, so my plan it to remove some of the swirl marks with Poorboys SSR2 and then use some fine grade clay to make her really shine. Will finish off with the Autoglym this time but will probably switch to EX-P with a top coat of P21S later .

Comments welcome :) as long are they are not too horrible, I`m still a novice

Sweet ride. I have a friend who`s on a waiting list here in Orlando. I can`t wait to take it for a spin. I`ve heard that they are a dream to drive hard. Nice work too.

Make sure you use the clay before the ssr2 :D

Make sure to post more pics after your next detail

If I ever sell my Miata (!!!), that`s my car!

Wow! Just Wow! Good for you!

Note that claying can leave some `smearing marks`, albeit on the surface. Any superfine polish or cleaner wax will remove those marks. Point is: Clay first, while still wet from washing...

Pick a quality (& available) sealant. Apply it at least twice (with an appropriate curing time), and then a fine carnauba wax. That Blue will `pop`!

Simply a marvelous auto...

Or, and I`m serious, let me do it in February, for about US$200...

go with some SSR1 after the SSR2, its not necessary, but it doesn`t take too much time, and it will make the surface that much better for the EXP to bond to. my 2 cents.

That`s a really nice go kart!

And I am 100% serious when I say that is a great compliment. I own a shifter kart, and the Elise is probably about as close as you can get and still drive it on the street.

Congrats!

190 hp and less than 2,000 pounds to push around. That`s about 10lb/hp. Should get around pretty well.

This car raises an interesting problem. Given all the curves, how successfully could be PC be used?
