Hey guys,



I`m looking for a Porter Cable orbit in Canada and was wondering where the fellow Canadians bought theirs? I know I can order from the US but the high cost of shipping and duties make it pretty expensive.

If you mean the 7424 DA polisher/sander, you can get it from Canadian Tire. However, last I checked they were about $250.00. At current low exchange rates, even with duties and shipping included, you can get a better price online. Especially if you go for a bundle package deal. The 7424 doesn`t come with the hook and loop plate, so you`d need to order one seperately (about $16.00 US) plus it comes with only 1 pad, so you`d have to order more of those. Unless you want to support a local vendor regardless of cost, it`s cheaper online from the US.

First off welcome becks. I got mine from www.carcaresmart.com it`s in Vancouver B.C. for $ 198.00 CAN. with free ground shipping. The model is 7336, it the same as the 7424 but with a 6 instead of a 5 counter weight.

Pro Tool City is a registered PC dealer, and got a refurb. (used at a trade show; the rep. happened to be there when I bought it)

Same here. Shipping for any other items is also free on the same order, so I ordered a LC pad & backing plate kit too. Everything you need to get started for ~$250, all in one order.
