This poor thing, I dont htink has ever been waxed since new. Owner admited that it hasnt been washed "in a long time" either. The wheels were caked with burnt on brake dust (worse than it looks in the pic even!), the interior dusty / dirty, etc. I used up a clay bar and 2 pads (turned black) while cleaning this thing, but the results were great! Owner didnt think I would be able to make it look as nice as it does, surprise! She was very happy with it.

steps:

wash- NXT and simple greene (yes it was that dirty!)

wheels / tires- Mothers wheel cleaner (x3 inc using #000 steel wool and a light touch to get remining baked on dust off), Mothers tire cleaner

tires- Megs Endurance gloss gel

clay- autopia clay bar w/ FI as lube

polish- DACP with cutting pad, PC on #6, Dacp with polishing pad

LSP- Wax Frenzy from Hammerhead Boat Works (I figured Id try it since it is an easy to work with carnuba and lasted all summer on our Jetski`s. I didnt feel like messing with #476 in the 40* temps)

interior- woolite mix, APC+ on tough spot, 303 protectant

Damn :shocked

Those rims came out amazing. I`m glad I`m not the only one who noticed the burning of the rims. I did the same truck (different rims) yesterday and I had a helluva time cleaning them up.

The paint looks excellent...Like Magellan said...A whole different shade!

Looks great!

I have a couple of Chryslers and think that their OEM brake pads have got to be amongst the worst for dusting.

Wow, thanks for the compliments guys!!! Didn`t get paid $1M, I gave them a deal since they are sending me their dirty bettle this weekend.

On the cladding I cleaned it with 5:1 APC+, then dressed with regular Armor All since my 303 supply was almost gone. I usually only use AA for wheel wells.

Nice job. You oughta enter it in the Xtreme Detailing Contest (hurry--do the engine and take before and afters!)

What is the Extreme Detailing contest? I did do the engine, but didnt take any befores. I tried to take afters, but it was dark out and they didnt turn out.
