I was searching thru my garage today for stuff to use on my car since i ran out of my old school mother`s wax:p...and i found my dad`s stash of car care goodies:D (he has a fresh blue c3 vette)...and he was holding out on me, so i was wondering, how will this setup make the car look...i usually just wash with dish soap and re-wax with mothers...but i think im gonna go hardcore on it this time round...

This is what it normally looks like after a wash and wax

i dont think it aint too bad for a previously neglected, 130k mile, 12 year old NJ car:D....but i want the paint to look amazing, im armed with my Dawn, my claybar(need recomendation for this, i didnt really like the Tecnique clay i used before), my bottle of alcohol:p, my buffer using Meguiar`s Deep Crystal polish, and then all topped off Meguiar`s gold class paste wax.....im hoping the paint will pop like never before with my newly aquired products;)...if you guys see anything wrong with my plans feel free to offer some advice on it:wavey

i know how to use the clay and stuff, i was just lookin for suggestions on brands (for red, if color matters):D....i didnt like how the Technique stuff rolled and it wouldnt mold back together so well..also, i was reading, some guys seem to not like the gold class paste, is there a reason besides it not lasting long?
