i`m not quite finished, but the pictures i have of my hood (the hood looked/swirled worse than any other body panel on the car, by far) are astonishing enough to give you guys the idea of how good it currently looks. i used DACP, #9, and then followed with NXT (all with the PC)

the first and last picture in the "after" section (and maybe the middle one also) show some water spots left behind by the rain. those spots come out, i just didn`t get the chance to wash my car before i took those pics. so yeah, my car isn`t even clean in the "after" pictures, just polished (hence, no swirls) :)

also, don`t let the different areas of the hood (where the pictures were taken) fool you any. my entire hood swirled as bad (and i think it looked much worse in person) as the pictures in the "before" section show. the "after" results look good on any portion of the hood that you look at, but as you can tell, there was kind of a house in my way to get the exact angle as was in the "before" pictures.

and i`ll get more pictures to show the rest that i have done if i ever get home before dark again :P

and let me know what you experts think, and any suggestions you may have. this was my first PC job, and i think i did pretty good! :)

thanks a lot! :)

i used some meguiar`s pads (and i think i used a cma pad in there somewhere). a friend of mine who does this professionally sold me several of his non-prefferred pads for a good price. i`m not a pro and my car gets driven everyday, so i didn`t feel the need to have the best of the best in pads out there. :bounce

the car is a 2000 chevrolet camaro. the whole hood itself took a couple of hours. it was my first job, yes, but in addition, that hood looked pretty damn nasty!
