Hello Every one, This is my first POST so be kind please

I have a 2003 VW GTI 20th Anniversary edition in Jazz Blue. I`m getting serious about detailing my car. I normally wash it about twice a week. It`s spends most of her life under a car port out of direct N.California sun light. It has the normal rock chips in front lower valence and one minor scratch on the back bumper from loading cargo and spider webs all over. I welcome all suggestion. I`m looking to get a dark bright mirror finish. The color looks dull and light right now. This is my current program.

1. Wash twice weekly (cham dried)

2. Clay bar every 6 months (Mothers)

3. Wax every 4 months Zymol (hand applied & MF buffing towel)

I have a PC and will be doing this list on Wednesday

1. Wash (sheep skin mit)(California blade)

2. Clay bar (Mothers)

3. 1ZPP (PC applied)

4. SPC (Hand applied)

5. 1ZMP (PC applied )

6. Zymol (Hand applied)

P.S I only use MF products to add and remove polish/waxs

Should i be using a glaze/ Sealant??? Please help

First of all, thanks for taking the time to explain your detailing program. It sounds like you are very serious about detailing your 2003 VW GTI. With regard to the process list that you posted, I was just wondering; were you able to reduce the appearance of those spider webs?

I applied eveything but the 1zmp. Ran out of time, but the spider web apperance was reduced by about 90%. some of the scratches on the rear require a little more buffing while other minor scratches I was able to conseal a little bite. If your about a foot away you won`t see them unless you get up close and angle you head along the panel. Next time (in 2 months) I`ll spend a littel longer on each Panel.:up

I still have some minor to light scractch still visible at certain angles under direct sunlight. Should I use the orange Sonus pad with the 1ZPP or step up to the 1ZUPP using orange pad followed by PP with the white pad. Also with in the steps above should I be using a glaze? and/or a sealant. I was thing about Pinnacle as a new topper. Also does this sound right

1. Wash

2. Clay

3. Wash

4. UPP (if needed)

5. 50/50 wipe down (if step four is used)

6. PP

7. SPC

8. MP

9. Glaze

10. Sealant

11. Wax VM/Pinnacle

12. Wash

Please help me out I`m going crazy

1zgw will do the job with out a problem, ive always used one coat of it, but some one on this post has told me to wait 24hrs and apply a second coat of gw and the protection and gloss you will get is outstanding. I also top my gw with ps.

do you have anymore "after" shots that have direct sunlight like the "before" shot?
