Yesterday, I was calling local detailers to try and get a feel for the prices in this area. I called one guy, who has a Detail King type franchise. In the course of our conversation, he told me about a product called GLARE. He also told me that this is what the dealers use and that it is a great product that last longer than any other paint sealant. Please give me some feedback. Right now, I am using a product from detailplus.com called Diamond Plus and have had excellent results with it. Is the GLARE product all that and then some?

Never heard of Glare . I google it and came up with a company in Australia
Link (http://www.magicseal.com.au/glare.htm) Googlein more I found some details here in the States using it . If this is the stuff the claims that go with it are pretty big. Did the person you spoke with say anything about a 5 Year Warranty ? Where are you located ?

Yes. If you go to DetailKing.com there is a big long explanation about it. The guy told me that he was trying to become the distributor here in Colorado, and that this is what Car Dealerships are using for their Paint Seal. He says there IS a 5 year warranty, BUT most people reapply after about 18 months. I just bought a new car (Chrysler 300C) and I was "sold" on the paint seal. Then, I went to a Q/A type night, and they said "Well, its supposed to bead for 5 years, but really, do you know of any products that last 5 years out of a can?" I don`t know. My car looks great, but I just wanted to see if anyone had used it. I personally have been using PaintSealant from DetailPlus and it seems to work just fine.

Dealer said if it doesn`t bead or the paint looks like it is fading, you can bring it in and they will fix it. I`m in Denver Colorado so I wanted my baby to be ultimately protected. This was before I got into detailing and products. Actually, my car looks great and cleans up nicely, but I am soooo tempted to mess around with it and put some of my own stuff on.

IIRC Clean Dean won a glare package from the engine detailing contest a while back... he might have some info

I`ve known about this product for a couple years but will not use it
It`s very cheap to buy and contains silicone even though it`s stated on the website that it is free of wax, teflon and silicone.

It`s endorsed by honda and It may have some value but I believe is nothing like the gear that we use.
