I was in the basement and forgot that I had an unused box of this stuff (one bottle each of prep and sealant) that I bought at a closeout for $3 from Kmart or Target a few years ago. Comes complete with 4 year guarantee .

:D

Is it really horrible stuff or is it just a typical mass market sealant? Is it worth trying out? Does this stuff go bad? Does it play well with other products?

Will monkeys fly off my car?

My father had that applied to his `79 caprice when it was new. We were less informed in those days, so we did not do "wax off-wax on" every year. After about 10 years, the paint started showing signs of very small cracking. Eventually the paint went bad after the 11th year, which was when it got t-boned and totalled.

How old do you think the product is?

Maybe 5-6 years old.

You could follow the directions on the package and try doing a small section on your car.

Does the package say clearcoat safe?
