I have yellow/brownish spots all over my trunk. If you look at the paint head on it looks fine but once you look at it in a certain angle with the right lighting, you`ll see tons of spots about the size of a nickel. The paint is super smooth and i`ve used compound, glaze, cleaner type stuff by hand and it didn`t help at all. The car is parked inside the garage and only the trunk gets wet of it rains really hard outside. (small leak on the ceiling)

Does my situation sound like acid rain damage?

What types of products to you recommend to fix this?

I really don`t want to repaint the trunk :(

my guess is there just waterspots i had the same experience on a jeeps hood, there was water leaking from something with the A/C in the garage that dripped on the hood daily. AIO with a polishing pad on the PC takes them away everytime but its such a hassle  I doubt its etching and is prob built up mineral deposits.
