Is the porter cable g-100 that meguires sells the same machine as the porter cable 7424?

Ya, G100 comes with lifetime warranty and the PC only 1 year warranty, but of course the G100 costs significantly more.

I think the only people that make a PORTER CABLE IS themselves some companies put a nameplate on the machine and work out a deal with PORTER. If there is a problem you sent it back to the company you bought it from and they send it to porterto be fixed.Not to mention they tack on another 80-150 bucks

Bob is correct. The rebranded Meguiar`s G-100 is exactly the same as the PC 7424. At the current special (you have to register at: http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2544 ) price of $149, they include the proper backing plate, and a foam pad. Not to mention the lifetime guarantee.



I currently have an 18 month old PC (among others) which was dropped on the concrete floor and sent out for ($65) repair. "Somebody" dropped it again two weeks later, and now it is dead! Oh, If I had a warranty!



I`ll be bringing a G-100 home from the upcoming NXT Technical Institute`s Seminar on Wet Sanding, etc
