Hardened Tree Sap - What to use

After 1.5 hours......I managed to get the blotch of hardened tree sap down a little bit but it`s still there.



It got dark outside so off to tackle it again tomorrow. I was using 3m Tar/Adhesive remover, keeping that spot soaked and every 20 minutes, I would agitate it a bit, apply more...just keeping that spot soaked with the 3M Tar/Adhesive Remover.



Any other ideas on how to soften this sucker up. No heat guns allowed ;)

I`ve had my truck covered in sap for like 5 days strait, and a simple wash cleaned it right up. Just rinsing with water took alot of it off, then the soap took care of the rest.
