Does anyone pretreat a vehicle to be hand washed? Whether spraying with water or your favorite cleaning chemical. Is the soaking chemical home made or over the counter?

Thanks

I hit bird sh@ with S&W and after a quick hose-mist of the nose a product (currently something out of my DetailKing sample pack) to release to bugs. Works well for me.

That sounds like a good idea. What OTC or otherwise product(s) do you like best for this? Thanks.

I rinse my vehicles so thoroughly before washing that it might qualify as a pre-treatment. I always spray any especially dirty areas with the showerfoam gun (Griot`s Car Wash mix in it, just an eyeballed solution strength-wise) and let them soak before doing the regular wash proceures on them.

If things are real bad, I`ll mist the trouble areas with QEW before getting started with the manual wash routine.
