I haven`t heard of many people lathering their carpets to clean them. I wonder why this is? When I have cleaned I spray stuff down, scrub it with a cyclo or brush, then extract.

I am wondering why foam or heavy lather isn`t used much. I don`t think detailers use it much, but it seems like it works on exteriors, on house carpets, on hair, etc..... I am wondering if people spray anything down that lathers up really well, then sucks it up???

I would not recommend creating too much lathering on the carpets only because there would then be that much more cleaning residue to extract afterwards. It seems much simplier to use a minimal amount of cleaning product.

Frank,

I agree with your assesment, I have researched this topic more thoroughly since I posed it, and I agree. Thanks for the input.
