Hello everyone :wavey

I live in Chile, and here it`s almost impossible to find good "detailing" products. A friend will visit the US next week, so i`m thinking of asking him that it buy some products for me. I`ve found a nice kit at properautocare.com (Pinnacle Paste Glaz Sizzling Shine Kit). What you guys think of it?

Besides, i`m going to buy some Micro Fiber products, i`m thinking in this kit ( http://properautocare.com/bemitokit.html ), it`s a good option?

Thanks in advise, greetings from Chile. :xyxthumbs

Lochi.

PS: Sorry for my bad english :nixweiss

I think you will be very happy with Pinnacle products. Easy to use and great wet shine. Durability in my experience is average for carnaubas. If you need heavy polishing, you are going to need a dedicated swirl remover also.

The microfiber package seems pretty decent but I really have never found much use for microfiber applicators. I much prefer foam. You might want to try Ranney at www.pakshak.com for a larger starter kit. aka Patrick also has decent microfiber towels he sells too. http://www.exceldetail.com/excelpage4.html Both Patrick and Ranney are a pleasure to deal with.

As far as your English goes, I am not sure how many webboards you visit, but your English is better than a lot of the Americans I see posting here and on other boards!

I use Pinnicle waxes and find the Pinnacle Souverän Wax gives a great look on dark coloured vehicles

As for your English (as an Englishman) I`d definitely endorse Scottwax’s sentiments

You have to love that Pinnacle. Been useing the Pinnacle Signature Series and like it better that Souveran, for the money. Pinnaclewax.com has the signature series in a nice kit, you can not go wrong.:D

I really like Pinnacle`s Paint Cleaning Lotion. Really easy to use and really makes my paint POP

Also have a bottle of Liquid Souveran which I haven`t used in a while, but I liked it back then.

Hey thanks for all the replyes :xyxthumbs

I own a 2001 VW Golf Satin Silver, what would you recomend for this color, the Pinnacle Paste Glaz wax or the Pinnacle Signature Series wax?.

Both kits includes the same products, except for the wax, both cost almost the same.

Greetings from Chile. :wavey

I enjoy EVERY Pinnacle product I have used. I own all of them except the wheel cleaner.

They are excellent products!

However, the waxes are not durable. I need to apply once a month. But it is very easy to use.

If your car has swirls or scratches you will have to use another product to remove them. Pinnacle products are not abrasive.

Welcome to Autopia :xyxthumbs

Thanks for the welcome :wavey

my car does have swirl marks, what would you recommend me to use for remove them??

Besides the Pinnacle Kit and the MF Towel Kit, i`m buying a Meguiars Quik Clay Detailing System, and for the swirl marks i was thinking in 3M Imperial Hand Glaze or something like that (which is very easy to found here).

As in Chile is very dificil to find products (the best wax you can found here is Turttlewax or Sonax, and forget about a quick detail spray, i`ve never seen one here), all i can do is read reviews or ask in forums to know which is better, so i`m a little lost about what to use.

I would like to thank all of you for your help. :bow :up

Greetings, Lochi.

Lochi-Imperial Hand Glaze won`t do anything for swirls. It is a final glaze to use prior to waxing. Probably the most versitile and easy to use swirl remover would be Meguiars Speed Glaze #80. Works very well by hand or machine and breaks down to a very fine polish.

Since you mentioned 3m Imperial Hand Glaze, it sounds like you can get some 3M products. If you can, they make some nice products to help remove swirls and scratches. Like ScottWax said, it won`t do anything for you.

Also, if you will be ordering the Pinnacle kit from the United States, make sure you include a product that will help remove the swirls and scratches.

For example, if you order it from AutoGeek, you can get this: click here (http://www.autogeek.net/3mfiniimacpo.html) or you can get this: click here (http://www.autogeek.net/3mperllrubco.html) or THE AUTOPIA FAVORITE! (http://www.autogeek.net/megdualaccle.html) :xyxthumbs If you click here (http://www.autogeek.net/pbsr.html) I guarantee you`ll be the only dude in Chile with these products! :p

Use your clay first, then your abrasive for the scratches and swirls and then the Pinnacle kit. You`ll be happy :D

Thanks for the info guys! :bow

I think Meguiars it`s a good option, but i don`t have a Polisher, so i think that the Meguiars Dual Action isn`t for me. What about Meguars Swirl Remover #9??

The Pinnacle kit includes the Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion, i need anything else for after the Swirl Remover??

So i`m buying all the products from autogeek.net, but they don`t have de Meguiars Quick Clay Detailing System. What do you think of Mothers™ Clay Bar Paint Saving System??, or what other clay system you recommend me??

Thanks in advise

Mother`s Clay Bar is very good. It is my favorite.

You can use the Poorboys products for swirl removal here by hand: http://www.autogeek.net/pbsr.html

I like the Meguiars #9, but the Poorboys SSR2 is a little better for me.

In fact, I use Poorboys SSR2 today by hand on my brother`s car. He had some scratches by the door handle from his fingers. It worked very well.

I would recommend this routine for you: Mother`s Clay, Poorboys SSR2, Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion, Pinnacle Wax.

Also, the Mother`s Clay comes with a little bottle of cleaner wax. You can use this on your wheels to clean them after you wash them.

If you follow this routine and use the microfiber towels, your car will look very nice!
