My car`s paint is in pretty good condition, but it does have some swirls in it (Silver paint).

This is what I was planning on doing:

1) Wash n Clay car

2) Apply Poorboy`s SSR2

3) Apply Poorboy`s SSR1

4) Apply Zaino (Z1 and Z2)

My main questions are whether SSR1 is a polish that will give the paint a good wet look, or whether something else should be used (like 3M`s Imperial Hand Glaze etc) prior to applying Zaino. Also, should the car be washed (Im guessing it should be) after applying the Poorboys products and prior to applying Zaino?

I also purchased a PC today at Lowe`s. The backing plate and pads are on the way. I am leaning towards applying the Zaino by hand rather than use the PC. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can`t use a glaze under Zaino. It will not bond to anything with oils or waxes. The paint has to be perfectly clean and bare. I don`t think SSR1 leaves anything behind, so I think you could go straight to Zaino, but I would go over the car with a 50/50 mix of IPA/water just in case.
