Correct me if I`m wrong, but I haven`t seen a thread about using clay on glass.

I just finished my S2000, when going over a final inspection I noticed the door glass was still rough. I went for what little bit of clay I had left and did the windows with lots of lube (car wash and water). The glass came out like new. I applied wax and Eureka!!! perfection.

Any thoughts? Comments? Critisizm? Accolades?

I have heard of people claying their windows, but have not tried it myself. I need to give it a shot.

Yeap, Claying glass is a regular thing here at Autopia. Its good to save left over clay that is to contaminated for paint because you can use it on wheels and glass!:xyxthumbs

I have heard claying and VM is good for glass, I can`t reccomend a wax or sealent, not sure if that is bad or good for glass.

The glass came out real slick after a coat of P21S. I can`t see where there is any distortion in the glass.

It`s not distortion. It`s wax residue if you have to use your wiper blades. Waxing your windshield is fine if you live in arid climates, where you rarely have to use your wipers. If it rains quite a bit where you live, waxing the windshield makes a streaky mess in a light drizzle.

I clay and use Autoglym glass polish on my glass, and then I apply AIO to all the glass except the front windshield. Works great for beading water off the glass.

Yup, claying does make the glass seem smoother, VM seems ok but wax is not a good idea when it rains

YUP waxing your glass adds a nice detailed look to the car. Stick with sealants though, they are less "greasy" and more optically clear (no oils).

I like the diamondite Glass cleaning products. I use their spray clay and then apply the shield.

I clayed my front windshield recently and it really made me realize that I need to replace it. It brought out ALL the little marks and scuffs. Definately made the windshield clearer though.

I clay mine occasionally and apply Einszett Glaspolish.

It was the only thing that would remove the hard water spots the dealer delivered my car with.

Ive also been using the Diamondite stuff as of late. It seems to be a pretty good package.

Claying the windows is part of the routine

and it`s good use for clay that`s used-up on paint, or clay you dropped
