1999 Mercedes ML 430. I`ve been taking care of this one since new, used to wash it every week but my customer`s remodeling job cost more than he thought, so I see his vehicles quarterly now. Meguiars #80 on the hood, then VM on the whole vehicle (polishing pads for both) and NXT by polishing pad.

==============

2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. First got my hands on this one in the late spring. It`s first wax job was EX-P topped with Pinnacle Souveran. He has had me wax it with Souveran 3 more times (about 6 to 8 weeks apart) and the paint just looks deeper and deeper.

2002 Mercedes S600. Another regular customer. I detail the car about 2-3 times a year. His wife drives it and likes to wash it herself, usually using a brush that would normally be used for an RV:( so it was scratch city on the horizontal parts especially. Meguiars #80 with a cutting pad on the hood and trunk lid, then #80 with a polishing pad on the whole car, followed by NXT Tech Wax with a polishing pad.

====================

2000 Ford Excursion. I QEW wash it about 3 times a month, this time after washing, I used Poorboy`s Polish w/carnauba with a polishing pad and EX w/carnauba to finish it off.

Now for my car. Spent some serious time on it. Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze with a cutting pad, #9 Swirl Remover with a polishing pad, NXT wax with a polishing pad, Wolfgang Sealant by hand (two layers), Pinnacle Souveran by hand. You now have to really look to find any cobwebbing in the paint but there were a few scratches that wouldn`t come out completely, but you now have to look closely to see them.

One of these days, I will really go nut on the interior, but probably after summer winds down since I get all sweaty working this time of year.

Man, you sure know how to treat those black ones. That Cayenne looks mean in black. Actually I only see black ones around, but they look like crap. Beautiful pics as always.

All I can say is...WOW! As usual, all the cars look awesome, all are very wet and reflective. :xyxthumbs

How long does it usually take you to do a detail on an SUV like the ML or the Cayenne?

Any reason for ditching VM on your vehicle?

2 reasons. One, I wanted to try something different and two, I am almost out of VM. My kids wanted to take some back with them to Kentucky and so I bought the last bottle at the shop near me that carries Clearkote products and gave it to them. Now the shop is out and it will be next week before they get more in. I want to save what I have for customers.

not only excellent work on the cars, but equally great work with the camera.

PS: I had an idea in my head for awhile that would benefit you (payoff for the exceptional work that you do day in and day out) and us here on Autopia who want to learn as much as possible. Should I post my idea here or do you want me to send a private email to you?

If it is a simple QEW wash and 2 step polish and wax on an SUV, it takes me about 2.5 to 3 hours on average. That includes vacuuming, cleaning windows in and out and dressing the tires and fenderwells.

:jawdropping:

All very sexy, especially the Cayenne. Any reason they didn`t get the Valentine1 Radar Detector? Just curious since you know they have the money.

Back to NXT eh? I`m really impressed with the deep, wet, relfective look it gives, but how long is it lasting for you?

Did you have any trouble dressing the Excursion tires? Or some tires just in general? I feel some tires are soo incredibly dry that you can never get them back to a deep black. What do you think?
