Hey guys I`m still experimenting with different processes with cleaning my car. I have a 2004 WRX it`s the java black pearl. So the color has a gold/green flake to it... I was wondering what process would be good to make the car shine more than it already does.. I`ve been trying to achieve that wet look.... On the 4th I had it close but no cigar... (well to my expectations) What products do you guys recommend and also what products can I use with the PC cause I`m picking one of those up. Thanks in advance.

Are you inquiring about polishing or protectant choices?

Polishing is the must enduring way to achieve a wet appearing finish. Products like AIO, VM, P21S GEPC, Pinnacle Paint Cleanser, etc are great for like new finishes (no major swirls or marring)

Protectant appearance characteristics are judged by the eyes of the beholder.

Do a search for products like Klasse, Wolfgang, Zaino, Blackfire, Souveran, P21S, S100, Meg #16, #20, #26 and Gold Class, Poorboy`s EX and EX-P, NXT, Blitz, UPP etc, etc. Also check out the "Review Section" for some opinions.

I have just finished 3 black vehicles with this combo and they all turned out great! I also did a blue WRX with this combo as well;

Dawn wash

Zaino clay

Zaino wash

Menzerna IP with PC on 5-6

Menzerna FP2 with PC on 5-6

Zaino Z5 x2

Zaino Z2

Wait 24 hours

S100 paste wax!!

I like AIO/SG and Souveran in combo. I like PPCL/Souveran even better but not for a daily driver.

Any sealant and Souveran for a deeper wetter look. For more of a clearer look, S100 or Nattys will give you a wet look, just not as deep or darker as with Souveran. The REAL difference? $70.00 opposed to $15.00. Is there THAT much of a difference? For $70.00 or less discounted, the finish should be so deep wet and last for ages.. it doesn`t, it`s a wax.

I did a test on my red SC430 which Souveran is also supposed to be the best on besides black. Not for $70 was there a difference between that and Nattys. Nattys looked a bit clearer. Fooled many people which was which.

Go and get some S100 from a HD dealer and some Nattys. If you want to spend the extra$$ for Souveran, that`s fine too.

Deanski

subi114- Given the cool metalflake effects, I`d go with 1Z`s polishes, finishing up with their Metallic Polish or their WaxPolish Soft. *Nothing* I`ve tried brings out the metallic the way the 1Z polishes do. As long as you use a "light" and/or "clear" LSP (I use 4-star`s UPP when I want the special metallic effect) it`ll be dazzling in the sun.

Since you have a metallic black, I`d go with whatever polishing steps you need to make the paint as pristine as possible then use Vanilla Moose and EX-P.

I`ve seen black cars with NXT, S100, Klasse AIO/SG, and Souveran. They all looked great. Of course, the best results are acheived with the proper prep work.

I`ve been really happy using Zaino on my cars (past and present). Presuming your new finish is ready to go, you can start up with Zaino without using a PC. For Black, I recommend Z5 for more depth along with an awesome shine. I had Zaino bring out the metallics of my previous cars like magic. Try it! Here`s some pics of my present car (BLACK 996TT) and a couple of previous ones.(Carbon Black M3) and (Orient Blue 330Ci)
