I read about quick detailing in the autopia guide. It said to ring out a detailing towell

wiping off the old dirt then to use the spray with another towell. When you first wip off the loose dirt with water, won`t that dirt scratch the finish?

When i QD most of the time its only dust around the car..but if i see a good amount of dirt i would just rewash the car again.

I QD mainly for removing any kind of haze marks or light dust. If there`s actual dirt, I wash. An alternative to a full blown wash many are happy with is Poorboy`s Spray and Wipe QD. Scratch free from what I read.

I also do a QD after a wash instead of polishing or waxing.

I can`t remember where I read this, but I believe what David does in that case is that he "rolls" the MF across the paint as he wipes, so that he`s never wiping with a dirty surface.

I could be mistaken, but I think that`s what he said once...

QD is kinda a preference thing on how you do it my method

lightly go over with Cali duster

QD with product of your choice, I look at as dusting not waxing

So lightly using a mf towel dust area that has been lightly sprizted with QD and the buff with fresh 100% cotton towel

whole process on wifes minivan takes 30mins and looks like it was just buffed and waxed

Hope this helps
