Has anyone ever removed the auto Ventshade window visors that are attached by 3m adhesive tape? Is this hard to do? They were just installed and are not satisfactory.

Will peeling them off work? They`re on pretty good!

Thanks.

OK. They`re off. Whew! It wasn`t easy, but I guess it wasn`t as hard as I thought it could be. I read elsewhere how tough it can be and how it will destroy the visors. Yep, it did.

I also read that the 3m adhesive foam tape does not reach 100% adhesion until 72 hours. Time may have been to my advantage. They were only on about 8 hours. The remaining residue came off with a non-acetone laboratory optical lens cleaner - a solvent safe with anti-reflective lens coatings. I find it useful for removing tape residue, price tags, certain stains, etc.

So, I doubt I`ll install a set of these sticky visors on my ride anytime soon. They are nice, but you don`t want to have to undo the install later!

Yeah. That`s why I got the WeatherTech (http://www.weathertech.com/store/prodsearch.asp?item_group_id=4) ones that snap into the window channel. I think they look much nicer and seem to be a much better product than the Auto Ventshade ones. And I found a great deal on them on eBay.
