Hey guys, i have a 98 camaro with the stock painted aluminum wheels. on one of the front wheels i have like stains

i`ll get some pics up, but it is like when i clean the wheel it does not come clean like the others. i have tried polish and wax but no dice. looks like the stain or dirt is baked onto the wheel.

any suggestions ? :(

Looks like they`re stained. This happened to my stock salad shooter wheels...I can`t think of any solution other than to have them re-painted. It could be from using a strong acid-based wheel cleaner....after getting my new SS wheels I made sure not to use anything but car shampoo and a soft brush to prevent this from happening again :(

yeah, that is the thing, i have never used any powerful solutions. when i bought the car used about 2 years ago, the wheels were not like this. so i am trying to figure out, what the hell happened

:(

just bought headers so wheels and tires will have to wait :sosad

Have you polished them? It works wonders if you can get in all the tight spots.

Same happened to mine, I clayed them and then used Tropi-care`s Swirl Cutter, It fixed the problem

just checked out the tropicare site. if the swirl cutter is a mild abrasive, does that mean that i could use Menz IP ??

just a thought ;)
