Hello all. I have a Black 2003 Nissan Altima. I`ve had it for about a year now and am ready to apply a swirl remover. I want to make sure I apply it in the correct order:
1. Wash with Dawn
2. Apply 3M SMR
3. Apply Klasse AIO
4. Apply EO Nanowax
Not sure if I shoudl apply before or after AIO. Thanks.

Welcome to Autopia
Firstly *I* would not use Dawn. The rest of your list looks fine

When I hear "apply" I keep thinking wax, but I won`t get hung up on technicalities :)
However, you might want to clay the car after washing it.

Consider claying the car before the SMR.

skip dawn, add clay after wash, rinse. SMR, AIO, AIO, EO.
Unless you`re just using the AIO to polish a bit, I`m not sure if I`d count on much of it being left after the Nanowax.

Thank you all for your replies. I think I will take your suggestions and clay the car as well.
Lowejackson and VaporeOn, why no to Dawn? I was under the impression that it has a cleaning agent that safely removes old wax and residue.
kartoon what is/are the "technically" correct term/s :D
4DSC, will the EO Nanowax remove the AIO I apply?
Thanks again. :)

Know what? 3M SMR has fillers.
Klasse AIO will probably remove the fillers.
AIO will probably last longer, by itself, than the EO Nano wax...

I was just going to say that. AIO will remove the fillers left behind by the SMR.

Do you recomend I apply the AIO before the SMR?

No
SMR before AIO.

I suggest you remove the scratches.
86 the SMR.
Use a fine polish, like Menzerna FP II, AutoMagic`s #76 GS-1, Meg`s Speed Glaze... Lot` of options.
Use AIO after the polish
