Well, here I go again, another dumb question.

In this thread http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21340 (http://) a manufacturer called "Sonax" is being discussed. I looked first at Sonus, but the products didn`t match the ones under discussion. Then I found that the products being discussed were Einszett products. There was no reference to Sonax, at least I didn`t find one in the Einszett section of the Autopia shopping centre.

So, what or who is Sonax?

Sonax is a European manufacturer that is currently without a US distributor. The most popular product that I had previously seen was their gloss shampoo. David used to carry it here at Autopia, and it was a very good product. Currently no one is carrying it in the US, as far as I know. You can still get it in Canada under the Jacque Villeneuve label (at least I think it`s still available according to some posts I`ve seen on here). I saw the thread you referred to, and was a little confused as well about the reference to the 1Z Tiefenpfleger. However, if you look at DavidB`s picture there, you see that the middle two products are definitely Sonax.

Sonax is often confused with Sonus, but they are not the same. David just recently started carrying a Sonus line of products, and recently stopped carrying all Sonax products (due to the lack of a distributor), that might be part of the confusion.

I was confused by Sonax and Sonus as well. Apparently they are not the same.

According to this (http://www.bettercarcare.com/articles.php?articleId=41) Sonax makes a great wheel cleaner. I`ve also read some good things about their glass cleaner.

Sonax do have a few good products but all of their gear is consumer sized. Alot of aerosol products too which I hate.
