I know of Poorboys SSR2.5 ( can you actually get this or is SSR2 the same stuff basically? ) as a possible alternative per Anthony O`s testing results, but are there any others out there?? I am hoping to be able to get something locally ( Australia ), but if it comes down to it I will import.

Thanks folks! :xyxthumbs

I use 3M Perfect It III rubbing Compound. I find it to be a little more abrasive than DACP. I really like this stuff by PC and Hand. I get a ready to wax or seal finish on my silver car and no dust. You should be able to get this in Australia any place that sells 3M products.

Will the 3M Perfect It III help remove swirls on a black car?

Perfect it III Rubbing Compound is the most abrasive thing I use with a PC. It`s pretty close to DACP. If you cant get the swirls out with this you probably need a rotary.

Poorboys, Menzerna and 3M all make good medium cut products.
