I ordered the PC kit from coastaltool.com earlier, and I ordered the pad kit from CMA w/o the velcro backing plate. Was I supposed to get the backing plate or no? Should I cancel the order? Please let me know ASAP!

Hi MattZ28,

If your`re worried that you will end up with two backing plates, they do wear out depending on how you use them and how often you use them and to some degree the chemicals you use with them.

Wouldn`t be a bad idea to have an extra...

I ordered the kit without the backing plate...I wasn`t sure if I needed it or not (didn`t know if the PC I ordered came with one or not). I guess I can always just buy a new one. I have some more stuff I need to order through Autopia soon, so I`ll get another one then.

Thanks!

yeah matt your fine. I been using the backing plate that coastal tool sends with that polisher combo and its worked great.

I use it with the 7 1/2 inch lake country pads.

Matt

I got both size backing plates..6 inch and 5 inch.....The LC pads work great with the 6" BP..but the megs and Edge pads work great with the 5"....reason being that the backing plate stays within the velcro area and will not dig into the foam as a 6" will...

And then you can get the 3.5" one, and the flex pad, and and and...there`s just no end to this :D
