Did this detail comp`ed for my dad :). He drives on the highway 4-5 days a week, 30 miles each way, so talk about some pitting and bug damage on the front end. There was also a lot of staining behind the wheels on the paint too.

My final process was:

-Mother`s Gold Wash

-Clay Magic Clay

-Meguiar`s #82 SFP via Rotary with LC Polishing Pad @ 1500 rpm

-Klasse AIO

-Klasse SG

-Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant (2 days after)

Armor All in the wheel wells and on the tires

Rain-X on the Glass

BlueRanger:

Thanks. They`re actually polished rims. I used Simple Green to soak the rims, than agitated with a cotton chenille wash mitt. The stuff that didn`t come off there, I used clay. The remaining stuff is never coming off :( I then wheeled out the rims with a polishing pad and SFP, then Klasse AIO/SG. I think they came out quite shiny for just being polished :)

It`s weird, the pics weren`t that bright when I took them. The damn white paint makes my camera go crazy.

I think I remember you posting this car a year ago when you first joined. I like the painted grille and rear plate surround--it`s what should be done from the start.

It is glowing in the after pictures. Very nice. In the fender shot, you can see the hood reflecting--very cool with silver.

That powerplant is kind of freaky looking.

Corey:

Yeah I posted it when I first joined here. Since then, I have learned a ton of new info and that has gotten me to get it looking like that. I will probably layer WG to 4-5 total coats.

Yeah we had the grille and rear plate surrounded painted to match (used to be gray) as well as shaved the front bumper lights and plate holes. Gives it a really clean look.

The powerplant is garbage. What a huge waste of money. :(

GSRstilez that looks great! How easy was the Wolfgang Deep Gloss to put on top of the SG? Do you think it would make any differance if you put on mutiple coats of SG then a couple of coats of WG?

How long has he had that car? I really like the looks of the CTS.

I really like that color, camera cant show it, but how cool is that pearl flake when its right around dusk? The car just takes on a whole new shade......with those agressive lines its just plain nutty....

Thanks for all the compliments!! I will keep everyone updated on my WG layering.

tpgsr: It feels like we are shadowing the same cars for detailing :) You didn`t happen to do a Mercury Mystique today did you ?

Sullybob: Wolfgang wasn`t hard at all to put over SG. Might be a little harder over time since SG loses it slickness. I think you would be just fine layering WG over SG. He has had the car about a year now and loves it :D

BlueRanger: I will try to get some pics of it tomorrow at dusk. It`s like a creamish peach color in direct halogen lighting. Freakin crazy :shocked
