I`m still looking at buying an RO polisher, but since the PC is 110V and I think with shipping, VAT and a 230V->110V transformer it would become a bit pricey. Now I did a search here and saw that both the DeWalt DW443 and the Makita BO6040 are popular as well:)

Now is my question as I checked the internet sites from both company`s, the Dutch as well as the US/intl. sites, what is it with the specs? As for both machines the US sites list a different speed?

Do I miss something here? It looks to me that both machines in Holland are different from the machines in the US, and because of that I`m afraid that both have too high speeds:rolleyes: Drives me a bit nuts actually lol:o Both machines I`m interested in if okay, the Makita would be a bit expensive though but maybe the DeWalt is a bit cheaper:)

Thanks for any help on this one:)

US electical system: 110v / 50 Hz

European: 220v / 60Hz

Schuursnelheid 8400-15200 opm (doubtful, I think this is an error)

I don`t think the electrical insulation could handle the heat from this speed (anymore than you could hold on to the machines vibration / the paint could not take the friction heat.
