Megs #7 - Im just not sure....

I gave the exterior a good going over last night, with Menzerna IP and FP then followed up with Megs #7 and S100.

Now it was late last night, but when I was done, the car looked very nice under my 500W halogens and under the fluro`s in the wash bay. A few minor swirl marks under the halogen light, but overall the car was great and I was very happy with the extra depth the Megs #7 seem to add.



Now this morning, under sunlight, I am a little undecided. From a distance, sweet, no problems at all. But as I got closer, its seems to have made my orange peel quite noticable. Now Im not sure if this is the "look" that #7 imparts or not. I have to admit that from about 1 - 2m it looks far more liquid than normal, but up close....hmmmm yeah. Im just not so sure........:nixweiss



And before anyone asks, the pics I took dont show it up for some reason ( and I took 38 trying to capture it! ).



Anyone else had a similar experience or am I alone here??

Wet sand!

OK, but normally the orange peel isnt quite as noticable.



And quite frankly, it is a company car and I cant be bothered wet sanding a car that I dont own.....

I often find that products that increase the overall appearance will also make things like orange peel more noticeable. Just, IMO, the result of having things so shiny.



And don`t feel bad about the work car`s paint- my A8 and S8 both have some pretty nasty orange peel in places.
