Another neighbor wants me to detail her vehicle. It`s a 2000+ Ford Expedition. She has some white scuffed paint on her drivers side mirror from her hitting the side of her garage. How to I take the white paint off the black plastic housing of the mirror?

Does anybody have any information? I tried searching already.

I have never tried it, but Mineral spirits should work and I don`t think it will harm the plastic...

May want to wait and see if someone else chimes in.

Is the mirror painted or just black plastic? If it`s painted, try to clay it off, and if it`s bare plastic try a solvent like Goof Off. No experience with Goof Off but it`s been recommended on here a few times for this application. Maybe someone esle can give you better tips.

I completely forgot about the clay :doh I`ll try some of that Goof Off or Goo-Be-Gone too.

It`s black plastic, when she made contact with her garage frame some of the white paint scuffed onto the edge of the plastic mirror housing.

Thanks for the input! I think that will do the trick :xyxthumbs
