View Full Version : Good Rotary Pad Selection?

I am going to try out the LC pads for my rotary and want to be sure I have all my bases covered, since I am not completely clear on their variations compared to the 3M pads I have used in the past. Should the following combination of pads be sufficient for my occasional use on friends/family/own cars?

1 white & 1 yellow "finger" pads

2 or 3 white "advanced" polishing pads

I only use the rotary for paint correction (swirl/scratch removal) and perform all final steps by hand. Would a finishing pad be useful for a SFP application after DACP, or will the white pads do the trick with the lighter abrasives?

Thanks for any input.

For sure there wouldn`t be anything wrong with this.

I can tell you that I have 4 cutting, 6 polishing and 3 finishing pads (all Meguiar`s for the rotary)
