First off I want to thank everyone on this forum who contributes to the knowledge base. Thank you.

I learned a ton about what to do and not to do by reading. I also gained much respect for what you guys do to put food on your table. Scottwax you must have forearms like Popeye:) :bow

My car after the wash

It was incredible how much crap came off of the car after I got done claying it.:) I then used 3M Perfect it rubbing compound to try and get rid of the horrendous swirls and scratchs.

After that was done I used AIO/SGx2. It was amazing how much of a difference that the AIO made in the paint. It immediately started to look much crisper the blue looked alot sharper. It quickly became apparent to me why they make machines to polish out the paint. I thought that my elbows were going to slide down to my wrists! I still need to get rid of alot of the swirls but for a never garaged 1994 Toyota with 120,000+ miles on it I am pretty happy with my initial results.

You can still see the swirls and lots of rock chips in the paint

Thank you for the kind words.

That was alot of work to do by hand. I spread it out over two days. I didn`t think that I would be able to do it all in one day and do a through job! Yes, I am really thinking about a PC or a cyclo:) I wonder how much better I could have done with a machine to help with the work.

This car was a test run (don`t tell the wife) before I start on my Expidition. I want to make sure that I have the technique down before I start my car. I figure if I can get good results with her car I should be able to do a good job on mine.
