Bird Turd!

My relatively new car was parked at a restaurant and over the course of an hour was hit with about 50 bird turds from the tree above. I immediatlly went to the self car wash and removed the turds. Unfortunately, there are small marks left on the hood of the car. I can not feel them with my fingernail but I can see what looks like the outline of the turd. Sort of a water spot if you will. I asked my local detailer about it and he said it should be "wet sanded". That sounds extreme to me. What methods/products should I try first that wont make a bad situation worst. BTW the car is a charcoal grey metalic volvo.

I recommend just using a good cleaner or polish like AIO or Medallion before you become too worried.



The more worrisome part of your post: FIFTY attacks?? Aarrrghhh!!
