Hi, I`ve been reading and searching on this forum for about 2 weeks now but still I`m in doubt. I have a white `03 Cobra. In a certain light I have alot of waterspots and scratches/swirls. Here`s what I have so far:

1. PC 7336 w/ 6"counterweight

2. Meguiars #3, #9, #26

3. 5" velcro backing plate, orange pads, white pads, and a grey pads all purchased from Autopia.com

Anything else I need or don`t need? I want to make sure I have everthing before I start. BTW, I recently clayed the car in an attempt to remove some of the waterspots. It helped some but it`s still there. I know about the white vinegar but was hesitant to do that method.

Thanks for any help and input you guys can provide.

I would get #83 and #82 instead of #9..........that will allow you to remove more flaws than with #9....you can be pretty aggressive because the PC is relatively gentle to your paint in relation to a rotary......

Thanks for your input Dinzdale! Maybe stupid question but which goes on first, the #82 SFP or the #83 DACP? Thanks again.

well i would start with #82 on one panel and if it doesn`t remove the swirls....then go to #83 because it is more abrasive.....if that works.....then use #83 on the rest of the car.....then use #82 to remove any marring #83 left behind to give your car a high gloss finish.....

you might could do #3 instead of #82 but I don`t know if it would remove everything #83 leaves behind....

try thetoolwarehouse.net they have pretty good prices if you use a credit card, otherwise there is like a $16 dollar charge.

But you cant beat $20 for a gallon of #83 and I think around $20 for a gallon of #82

I`m surprised no one mentioned a glaze. After you`re fully satisfied (or very very close) with how the paint is polished, use a non-abrasive glaze on the paint like #7 or #81. Then wax.

While it seems that many people prefer the BSP line of products (#8x ones) you may find them a bit harder to find or you may have to ask for them. Sometimes online stores can sell/get these for you if they carry Megs products even though they don`t advertise it.
