im picking up a used pc 7336.

But its missing the handle and the all other stuffs. what is in the picture is whats included. I see the pad is missing a small chunk. Is this bad? in order to hook it up to a velcro backing plate do I need that pieace? that black pad thinging on the body?

what do you think? im picking up for 40bucks. Can I pick up those missing parts somewhere?

Yeah you can order some of the parts from PC. Your going to take off that sanding block to screw in the backing plate. Check if it runs, if the cable connects properly, and the on/off switch. 40 Bucks aint bad. Its dirt so you will need to clean it.

Run the thing first ... make sure it doesn`t smell hot after it runs for a few minutes ... also ... hold onto the PC body in one hand and the Pad(backing plate) in the other and try to wobble it to make sure the bearings aren`t shot. From the looks of the picture, someone has used that thing pretty hard. Keep in mind that you can buy a new one for 139.00 less 10% Detail city discount at Premium Auto Care. That makes it 125.00 plus shipping.
Sometimes Lowes has them for 109.99 and they include a buffing pad and the pad for sanding.

$40 is not a bad price if it works fine. A new 7336 with all the parts plus a polishing pad is $109 at the Lowe`s here in town.

In answer to your question ... most of the time I do not even use the handle.
Velcro backing pads can be purchased at Premium Auto Care too ... If you don`t have pads, consider going with the Edge 2000 system. Give Dwayne a call at PAC and he will help you get started.

I would buy a new one with a warranty. The one in the picture looks pretty well used.

Also make sure the speed adjustment works . Its the red dail on the back . The handle is no big deal personally speaking I hold on to the body and the front. Offer them 30 or 35 and see if they bite. Good luck
