I just bought a porter cable 7336sp from lowes. I need a vecro backing plate and pads. My question is which pads should I get a 6 inch the same as the backing plate or bigger? like a 7.5?

jax, I got some sort of error from that link. As for pad size, some folks like the larger pads for finishing. Personally, I like 6" pads for everything. Sometimes, I feel like I could use a smaller pad for focused polishing, but the 6" size is a nice compromise.

Yeah, 6.5" is about as big as I`d go. Any larger and the vibrations from the machine are really annoying. Smaller pads = less vibration and more comfy buffing.

That kit is great for starters.

Remember to get a counterweight for the 6.5" backingplate.
