Hello, there!

After my first detailing experience with old Mother`s product I`ve decided to do it with the better product. So, I got 3M Swirl Mark remover (dark cars), 3M Foam Polishing Pad Glaze and 3M Liquid Wax.

I am still confused with all this "compaund/glaze/polish" defenitions. :o So, guy at the shop told me that I should start with swirl mark remover, then Polishing pad glaze and finish with wax. Sounds OK to me, but I just want to make sure that Swirl remover and Pad Glaze ain`t the same thing. (Boy, do I sound stupid ;) )

Thanks in advance.

I`m pretty sure that the SMR and Foam Polishing Pad Glaze are the same product but in different size containers. 3M does that kind of thing. Is the SMR a 16 oz bottle and the Polishing Pad Glaze a 32 oz bottle?

I don`t think so. They smell different :)

Phone 3M and ask. I did this with some of their other products.

Maybe buy the SMR, use it, see if you need a finer polish prior to waxing?

Sometimes you just need to experiment a little.
