I just ordered a PC from Coastal (bonus kit). I`m ready to order pads and am looking at the Lake Country from TOL. I just want to make sure that the PC i`m getting has everything it needs to use the 7.5" from TOL (this is a very confusing topic!). I`m deciding between the Orange pad or white. Any thoughts? The paint is new and in great shape, so I won`t be really "fixing" much. I`ll be using S100 paint enhancer cleanser or Vanilla Moose glaze topped w/ S100 wax by hand.

BTW, is 7.5" too big? I don`t see a 6" or 6.5" on their website.

I have the 7.5" from TOL. They will work fine on your PC with the backplate that is included from Coastal. Enjoy.

IMO, the 7.5" pads are way too large for the PC whether running a 5" or 6" plate. The 7.5" is great for the Makita. They can be used on the PC but are over-size. Again, my opinion/experience.

Nick @ detailer`s paradise has an excellent selection of 6.5" LCM pads:

i use them and they work great for me. Like tom said though, i find them to be a little too big and find you can`t get as good of control over them. (makes sense?) they work though, but if you haven`t bought yet, look at those detailer`s paradise 6.5".

I have some old pads that measure at 5.5" and 6". Some came from Griot`s and some from CMA. I just like the smaller size for getting in tight areas and I think the machine is easier to control.

In addition, I have a complete selection of 7.5" pads for the 9227 but never thought of using them on that machine. Maybe I`ll try `em to see what it`s like. :p
