NHBFan detailed my 2001.5 black Passat this week. I am attaching a photo of the work in progress on the hood in partial sun. You can see the line separating the before and after looks of the finish pre and post PC with AIO. The embedded swirl marks disappeared. He even signed his work in Japanese :).

I am not a detailer, but am learning some stuff from NHBfan. There is some serious science beyond my old (and infrequent) habit of _____wax. He speaks of Autopia as the Oracle for finishers.

The second photo is the finished product...looks like new again. My Patriot Blue 03 Liberty is next. It is a very different kind of finish and not in as bad a shape from neglect and the high-mineral content water where I live north of New Orleans. Keep refining the art guys, I love the results.

Looks great. Also looks like chinese lettering on the hood in the first shot.
