My Truck Got Egged

so im pretty sure its a lost cause, but my driver side bedside and tailgate got nailed last night and it left the classic "egging" mark in the paint. part of it chipped away, some is scratched, and basically im pissed. is there anything short of repainting i can do? cuz if i get that done then its gotta be blended and i want it to look perfect so might as well do the whole thing so might as well wait and do custom paint etc etc.....im pissed:angry

alot of times it seems upon impact some of the shell goes through the c.c. through the paint till the primer...usually in a nice pattern over the impact area. There are a few good posts on this if you search for them.
