Hello,

After reading the great detail forum here and at Bimmerforums.com, I decided to try my hand at fixing a small paint chip on my bumper. It`s about the size of a straw tip opening. Anyways, the first pic is after factory touch up paint with a toothpic and some light wet sanding using 2000 grit paper. The next is after Megs #2 Fine Cut, #9 SMR, and then #26 Tech Yellow wax. It looks good here, almost unnoticeable. However, the last picture is where my problem is. With the flash turned on, you can easily see the touch up.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Thanks.

That`s why many people prefer repaints to touch-ups, often the touch up paint is very close, but under the `right` light the repairs can still be seen.

Single point source light does that. That`s why I discourage the use of an "obsession" light, though I do use one myself. But I do realize that there will never be a situation where my car looks as bad as under my obscession light.

Alright thanks guys. Maybe I should just take it easier, but I`m sure some of you, including Postwood and others, still understand. 8-|
