Hello,

Searched the forum couldn`t find the answer. Why do we all "wet" sand rather than just dry sand. What are the reasons and why is it so important to keep it wet all the time?

Thanks.

Keeps the paper clean for consistent cutting.

By keeping it wet, you are reducing the amount of friction between the sand paper and the paint, meaning you are taking away less paint, which is what you want to do. Just dont screw up like I did and think that it was as simple as finding some really fine sandpaper (Yeah, and i later found out it was 600 grit) and going to work leveling off touch up paint. You`ll regret it lol
