Finally had to try NXT on this unique color. Paint had no prep whatsoever and NXT was applied with a PC on 4.

Weather was cloudy and yucky but you can still see some nice reflections.

Looking good for one product.

Is the Z a black cherry color?

Yes, I believe that`s the extremely rare "Deep Purple Metallic", only available in the last two years - 95 and 96.

Ah, cool then. Looked black to me but I can see the purple now.

You`ll have to forgive me, I`ve been sick all day so I`m not on my game ;)

Pats300zx,

That looks Sweet! :xyxthumbs

I too have had great results using NXT with no prep at all. If you get a chance post more pics of this Z in the sun to show more of the Cool color.

I`m just in the process of bringing my black 300ZXTT out of winter storage right now.. and I`m torn on whether to try a coat of NXT on it without prep, or wait until I have a weekend when I can treat it with DACP or SFP and #81 before NXT.

Dilemmas... :bounce

I was the same way with putting it on my F150. I plan on doing clay, DACP, SFP, and Klasse or NXT, S100.

I figured I would get something on now since my truck really had nothing on it since December. The winter was killer here.

Can`t wait to see the results of the full detail though.

Jason-you can probably skip #81 with NXT. I feel that the mild chemical/abrasive cleaners will remove most of the oils #81 lays down.

Make sure you post pics when you get your Z detailed.
