I`m hoping to get a wet/dry shop vac sometime soon and was wondering if this Craftsman would be a good one to get. It won`t be only for car-related, but since this is a detailing forum will this particular model suffice for carpet/interior cleaning duty?

I use that same vac to suck up the metal chips in my machine at work...works great, it has been abused severelyand it keeps going.

Here`s another Sears unit to consider. It`s a Craftsman Car Vac for $69.99

Home depot has one similar to that one for the same price but it is 5hp. It doesn`t have the shoulder strap and only comes with one nozzle though. It says lifetime guarantee but if you read the box it says on workmanship and assembly or something like that. I have it and like it better than the 5 hp craftsman similar to the one your looking at.
