anyone out there know about color sanding? my dilema is I just got a great old car (pantera) it seems somehow a wet car cover was left on and created some bubbling, orange peel looking crude on the hood, short of painting the entire car . thought maybe try a color sand first

Any pics?? Wet sanding is pretty easy. Use a high grit(2000-2500), and see if that works. Then polish it out with a buffer. Make sure you have plenty of lube(aka. water/QD/etc...).

I always notice that some scrathes will not com out after sanding. They are called tracers and should be removable with compound but, this is never the case with the few hoods I`ve sanded.

I even bought the Meguiar`s Nikken paper. Still the same.

I just don`t know why?
