I`m looking for a satin to glossy look for my tires that also lasts. Any suggestions + what should I stay away from? Just bought the Black Magic Tire Foam and it`s the pits. Messy and it doesn`t last even a week.

I used Mothers Duration for the first time today, perfect matte finish, really like it and it lasts.

They give you a neat applicator that lets you apply it with no mess.

Armor all origional is perfect. scottwax recomended it and it is a perfect matte finish and lasts a while too. And you can find it in your local grocery store or auto parts store.

I second the Meguiars Endurance. Its a gel so it takes a little more time to apply but I get 2-3 weeks out of it just depends. It will sling but the key is once its applied and sat for a few min, wipe the extra off with a old towel, not paper towels they stick to the tire and make a mess!

Leaves a nice even satin finish. meguiars has two endurance products one is High gloss the other is not.

Not glossy, but I like 3M Rubber Treatment and Tire Dressing.

One Grand`s ERV. It doesn`t leave that "fake" look where the stuff just slings off into your wheel wells. It`s about 28 per gallon.

I just tried Zaino`s tire dressing and love it one coat has a nice satin look put on another and it has a higher shine, not the same wet greasy look like the Meguiars, which I was previously using and hated that stuff is plain nasty! The Zaino is a water based dressing and a little goes along way!

Cheap solution: Armor-All Protectant

Costly solution: 1Z Tiefenpfleger

I like them both. I use the 1Z on my Passat and the Armor-All on the Cherokee. The 1Z needs to be buffed off after a few minutes but it leaves a nice satin finish.

I used #40 the first time last week and I really like it!! Leaves a matte finish but I don`t know how long it`ll last since this is the first time I used it. I previously used No Touch tire spray which are OK for the price but I don`t recommand it since it`s pretty much a silcone spray.

#40 seems to last about a week for me. The tires will stay cleaner than before, but the matte/satin finish fades away. Not a bad product though. I have yet to try it on the interior. Go figure.

I use armor all wheels cleaner on the tiresalong with a brush and the soapy car wash water. I scrub the tires and then rinse. Once the tires have dried I foam on armor all detailors advantage.
